Liver pathology is a diverse field which encompasses the study of an incredibly wide spectrum of human diseases. Consequently, the literature on this subject is scattered throughout various pathology, gastroenterology, hepatology, surgery, transplantion, and general medicine journals. The rapid evolution of several areas of hepatology and liver pathology in recent years has led to an exponential increase in the total number of publications, many of which have direct practical implications.
The goal of this Blog is to provide practicing pathologist, other health care providers, residents, and researchers with an updated list of the main peer-reviewed articles published in the medical literature every month that are relevant to liver pathology, followed by a brief comment. The Blog will also offer a venue for those involved with liver pathology practice and research to post comments about individual articles. All articles have a link to their respective PUBMED citation and abstract. A link to a full text PDF document of most articles is available for CUMC users (password required).
